Review : Poorer quality, but still fun for kids
Everything Jaia wrote in his/her review are the exact things i though of when unboxing this for my son. We also have been collecting Geotrax for years, and it is definately a cheaper quality. The buildings are much cheaper and thinner plastic, and are just flimsier overall. The tracks are cheaper as well. They are a friction fit with tiny plastic tabs now instead of the spring loaded tabs. Even I have a harder time getting them to snap together and line up properly. Our first set we got from Toys R Us had some missing pieces, no instructions, or screws. Makes me worried about the future of Geotrax in our home.
At first i thought maybe it was just the Cars series that they cheaped out on, as we also got Trev the Train set...not so. We got our other son the Timebertown Railway set and it is the same thing. Cheap plstic buildings and tracks. For the price we pay for these sets, i expect the much better old quality
