Review : A cool train table that's cheaply made
We purchased this for a great price from our local warehouse store. Assembly of the table/drawers took about 2 hours, and my husband and I assembled the trains and pieces together and it took us about 45 minutes.
This is a great table and comes with many fun and interesting pieces. For all you get for the price, it's a great deal.
Here's where the great deal ends... the table is poorly made. Bad enough that I am still unsure if we will return it for a refund.
- Upon opening the box and trying to put it together, we found that the table top was peeling/warped along the edges.
- Several of the screws were missing their heads and had a nail type of head instead of a screw head.
- The train tracks that are curved have a plastic ball that fits into a wooden socket on the adjoining piece. These plastic balls are easily broken off and must be re-glued. Several of them broke within a few hours of gentle play.
