I was hesitant to purchase since other reviewers commented about theirs breaking quickly and easily. We've been using it a few months with no problems. In fact, our son decided it is actually a remote control car and uses it on our wood floor - so it is holding up to a bit of abuse.
Not sure if we just lucked out or if some kinks were fixed. In the past, I've found Amazon to have a great return policy if you do end up with a dud, which is why I took a chance and bought it.
I would also recommend you check FP's website directly as they sometimes have better pricing (I paid a lot more for Doc on Amazon than what I later discovered fisher had it priced at).
