Review : Great Design but...
I loved the look of this piece and even the heavy duty chairs and table as kids can easily tip over in the plastic or lightweight wooden chairs. The overall quality of the FINISHED product is hands down better than what I've seen out there.
However, I feel very competent in assembling products but the made in China hardware is extremely poor quality. Most of the bolts don't align well and easily get stripped, leaving metal bolts/screws not flush with the toy and can create a safety issue for toddlers and young kids. Also, easing in the stripped bolts caused the wood to splinter and crack, again, creating issues for small hands.
If I could speak directly to P'kolino, I would suggest, find MADE IN THE USA hardware and even wood parts. Parents would support this and I know the quality would be superior. If only more toy manufacturers would make more things here in the US!
