Review : Works well and pretty easy to set up
The Rover 2.0 isn't particularly cheap but it's constructed with reasonable quality and does everything it claims. I bought two for my spy-toy-crazed daughters, 8 and 11, and they both easily operate them with their iPads. The rover acts as its own wifi access point and range is fine within a typical two-story house - it would be cooler if the Rover attached itself to your existing wifi and you could control it from anywhere in the world though. The motor drive on each track is limited to Forward/Stop/Reverse (no speed control) so it takes some practice to be able to maneuver with any precision. An amazing assemblage of technology really considering the price, but it remains to be seen how often they will play with them beyond the initial novelty.
